XMLExpertise.com asks... How clean is SOAP?

SOAP, WSDL, and UDDI have made a big splash in the technology community over the last few years. We know of no mission-critical applications actually using these technologies, but that doesn't mean they are all wet! They are still important trends to track, and it seems certain that some variant of " Web-Services" technology will be part of our development vocabulary for the next few years.

Also, note that the Apache-XML project provides a free (but still wet-behind-the-ears) impelentation of SOAP services called Axis.
